TECHNOLOGY
has made it easier for us to learn a lot – subjects that you once had to enrol in
a school to learn – languages, music, Bible knowledge, computer programming,
etc.
Smart phones, Ipods, Ipads or Iphones are making
it very easy to learn almost anything.
LEARNING LANGUAGES
You know, I have been talking about languages
lately.
There are so many places that you can go to
on the net to learn a language – or even get in touch with people to learn and practise
communicating in a foreign language.
There are places where you can get the basics
in our Pacific languages – sadly, there are more on Polynesian languages than
our PNG or other Melanesian languages.
MUSIC
Music is another area where you can advance
your skills and interest.
Back in the 1970s and 1980s, it was very hard
to learn a favourite song, much less getting the correct lyrics of songs.
Today it is very easy.
And, with YouTube, you can watch your
favourite guitarist or pianist playing a favourite tune.
It enriches and motivates you in your plans
to play a musical instrument … or, (if you would dare) create your own music
too.
POINT
Do not let your resources be wasted on silly
stuff – like wasteful chatting that benefits no-one.
Make use of the tool you have (Smartphone,
Iphone, etc).
At the end of the year, it would be nice to
note how much you have learned over the months learned.
(Mind you, the third month has started.)
I have my own goals in learning stuff and am
on it. May you too.
Bon courage!
