WHY
THE As AND Bs …
Yesterday and today I was browsing through newspapers and
noticed some things that are in line with the theme of this post.
I
saw an ad that a firm put out asking recent university graduates to apply to
join them in their graduate cadet programme.
The
minimum average grade required from applicants was a B.
Air
Niugini has also advertised for pilot cadets. The ad said students must have a
minimum of Grade 12 education with A or B grades in Physics, Maths A and
English, among other requirements.
That
is the reason why I urge students to score good grades.
Being
a cadet means you will be looked after the company “as an employee”. You are
paid something while training or learning on the job.
Students
in universities must know that when you score As or Bs, you will be in the
categories that will pay less fees.
That
makes it easier for your guardians and parents who are paying for the fees.
