HEAVY MIST IN PORT MORESBY THIS MORN

I WENT to the Sir John Guise Stadium (Port Moresby) this morning – at around 6am.

The whole place – as well as the surrounding area - were covered in mist/fog.

Even at 7am, when I came out of the stadium, after walking up and down a lane, the place was still very much covered by the mist.

Sir John Guise Stadium was the main venue for the 1991 (South) Pacific Games.

The 2015 Pacific Games would be staged in PNG and the stadium will be the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies. The athletics events would be staged there as well.

PS. It is now 7pm and it is raining very heavily outside our Port Moresby office. Raining during the dry season? Unbelievable. But weather has changed very much here in Port Moresby. We have not had a real dry season in a long time.
