THE PNG National Cultural Commission (NCC) has
launched the THEME SONG COMPETITION for THE 5TH MELANESIAN FESTIVAL OF
ARTS AND CULTURE to be hosted in PNG in July (2014).
FESTIVAL THEME: Celebrating Cultural Diversity
COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS
Eligibility: Competition is open to all Melanesian
Residents in PNG and PNG citizens.
Language: Song to be in English, Tok Pisin, Motu
and French or mixture
Duration: The duration of the song to be between
3 and 5 minutes
Musical instruments: Both traditional and modern
can be used
Composition: ONLY original composition will be
considered
Closing Date: February 21, 2014
Prize: First prize – K10,000, Runner up 1: K5,000,
Runner up 2: K3,000
