POEM FOR THE WEEK: IT CAME LAST NIGHT

IT CAME LAST NIGHT (March 15)

The song came early last night
It came smooth, with ease - without a fight
The tune was loud but clear
It is about my Mother dear

I woke, got the guitar and played
In 30 minutes I got it made
I plucked and found the key
As in the dream, ‘twas played in C

Part of it will be in French
And part of it in our Tok Pisin
It is quite a nice tune
I am happy – it is all done
